The Nashville Connection — Heroes Salute is offering upstate musicians the opportunity to work with the best in the music business from Nashville as well as Greenville.
The Workshops (Marriott on the Parkway)
This year’s workshops will cover every aspect of the music industry. Throughout the day you will learn from top vocal coaches, songwriters, image consultants, engineers and producers, motion picture and video composers, and legal entertainment experts. You will have an opportunity to network, market yourself, and receive feedback from top industry music professionals.
The Competition (Marriott on the Parkway)
The Nashville Connection Competition is a great opportunity for singers, songwriters, and bands who normally do not have the time or money to travel to Nashville. You will learn from the best in their fields and have a chance to become the grand finalist winners of the Nashville Connection competition. The grand finalist will be featured as the opening act for our Heroes Salute Gala. Winners will receive $25,000.00 worth of opportunity prizes to promote their music in the top circles of Nashville. In other words, it’s a pretty big opportunity. The deadline to submit your entries is May 25, 2012.
Shine Night (The Handlebar)
Our Shine Night will feature singers and songwriters that will perform for the crowd and a wildcard will be chosen to compete in Friday’s Competition. There will be an embedded judge at the venue. This is a great opportunity for you up-and-coming singers or songwriters to showcase your talent.
The Band-Off (Wild Wing Cafe, The Channel)
This year we will also have a band-off. Pre-selected bands will perform at two different venues in the Downtown Greenville area. The participating bands will be judged on performance and song choice. This is a great chance for these bands to bring their fans and perform in front of a live audience with a shot at getting into the competition the next day.
